Safety and Insurance
Safety
At Capital, we strive to provide a safe work environment for our employees, and the people that come in contact with our crews when they are working. Toward that end, we have a designated safety coordinator that is responsible for safety orientations, monthly safety meetings, jobsite & equipment inspections, and developing internal policies to ensure that safety protocols are in compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations. Our comprehensive Illness & Injury Prevention Program provides us with the foundation to encourage a safety conscious staff. Our monthly safety meetings emphasize personal protection equipment requirements, safe work habits, fall protection, proper rig and scaffolding operation, the proper use of signs and barriers to protect building occupants, and the safe handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
We understand the importance of safety to all parties concerned, and have refined our safety policies over the past 35 years as demonstrated by our excellent state assigned experience modification rate.
Insurance
We also consider insurance coverage to be a priority for our customers and our employees. Many marquee buildings require substantial insurance coverage to work on them and we carry the necessary coverage so that our clients do not have to worry about any compliance issues. For added peace of mind, we carry an umbrella policy in the amount of $10 million for our property management clients and $5 million for our construction clean-up operations.
We make all efforts to provide our clients a good value for services rendered, we take safety seriously, and we are covered should an accident occur.
